Elements of Traditional Composition by Glenn Vilppu

Over the course of 10 weeks, renowned artist Glenn Vilppu will guide you through the essential elements of composition in pictorial art. In the first week, Glenn will give you a comprehensive overview of the essential elements of composition. He will delve into the concept of movement and force, teaching you how to arrange the picture frame to give a sense of vitality and direct the viewer’s gaze.

In the second week, Glenn will delve into the use of opposites or juxtaposition in composition. You will learn how to use elements such as color, orientation, size, and others to create interest and complexity in your artwork.

In the third week, you will focus on using the frame to create transitions in your composition. Glenn will show you how to combine 2D and 3D design elements to create a powerful image.
