Character Crafting with Blender for Absolute Newbies by Nikolay Naydenov

To begin, we will become familiar with Blender’s interface and learn how to model and sculpt in the program by creating a basic human head as a warm-up exercise. From there, we will move on to creating a rabbit, starting with the head and adding features such as eyebrows, eyes, and hair. Next, we will tackle the body and limbs, followed by a more challenging task of creating the hands. However, I will guide you through the process. Making clothes and a character prop (a chef knife, perhaps for cutting giant carrots) will be our next tasks. Once the model is complete, we will refine it with detailing, smoothing, and coloring, before moving on to creating a basic character rig to pose the arms and hands. We will then make necessary tweaks and fixes before focusing on materials and lighting, including rendering with transparent backgrounds and compositing in Photoshop.

As a bonus, I will also teach you how to make a turntable video of your character.

This course is designed for absolute beginners in Blender and character art, but intermediate users are welcome to join in as well.
