Materialize是一款独立的材质生成工具，可通过图像为游戏创建材质。它支持从单张图像生成完整材质，或导入现有纹理并自动生成所需纹理。其核心功能包括：将漫反射贴图转换为高度/金属度/平滑度贴图；将高度贴图转化为法线贴图；实现法线与边缘/环境光遮蔽的互相转换；支持纹理无缝平铺处理；提供多格式文件读写能力；并能通过XML剪贴板命令实现批量自动化处理。

该工具已被应用于《神秘海域合集》的重制工作，通过自动生成金属度、平滑度和环境光遮蔽贴图，高效升级了前两代作品中的环境材质。其开源代码基于GNU GPL v3协议托管在GitHub平台，为开发者提供完整的透明度与可扩展性。

Materialize is a stand alone tool for creating materials for use in games from images. You can create an entire material from a single image or import the textures you have and generate the textures you need. What can it do?

Materialize was used on the Uncharted Collection to generate metallic, smoothness, and occlusion textures to update most of the environment materials in Uncharted 1 and 2.
The automation features were developed to quickly open and save multiple texture files.
